Don Raga is an Indie R&B artist based in Manhattan consisting singer-songwriter Chris Conway, who produces all of his music. Don Raga just released a new single, "No Language" on SoundCloud. Listen it. Don Raga's music originally started with a simple indie/mellow sound as heard in "Invisible Love" from the previous 2013 album "Vandals". Today, Don Raga's sound is slowly developing into a more dark yet upbeat side, a completely different and unique musical direction taken that will be heard in the upcoming album "Young Swingers" released at the end of summer 2014, along with a new music video. For now, a new single, "No Language" is leaked on Soundcloud. Check it out, you won't be disappointed. During a time in music when indie-this and hipster-that try to reinvent the musical wheel, Don Raga delivers a genuine melodic sound that proves to be a promising act to come out of New York City.

A Band Everyone Should Know: Modern Diet

Modern Diet is the best upcoming indie band you aren’t listening to yet. A 5-piece band based in New York, Modern Diet consists of Jake Cheriff (lead vocals/songwriter), Dan Hemerlein (Bass), Noah Hyams (Drums), Lee Meadvin (guitar) and Bernardo Ochoa (guitar). Current music-major students at NYU, the members of Modern Diet smoothed a few grooves in venues such as Webster Hall, Bitter End, Spike Hill, Brooklyn's Muchmores, The Rock Shop, and a bunch of others around NYC. Their most notable track, “Rip Tide” from the EP 'Commuter' has received high praise from local fans and was featured in a student short film. Tracks in both EPs are written by Jake Cheriff, whose tunes are coated with past and current themes of life we all share: love, loss, risk and reward. Their new EP, titled 'Chemicals', was released in April 2014 with featured track “1822.” Take a listen. Modern Diet brings life into their music as soon as the first note bounces an echo.
